About Marley

INTRO - Welcome to the adventure of Acting + the performing arts!

HI! I’m Marley Frank, an interdisciplinary artist, brain health advocate, and transformation specialist. I am currently offering private and small group creative sessions for acting and the performing arts. My lessons are a powerful gateway to gaining self-awareness, learning how to utilize the mind-body connection and understanding how story influences our daily lives and legacy. Our time together will be focused on your specific needs and goals while making sure we have a fun, meaningful and exciting time. My lessons will enhance not only your relationship to your acting and/or performance goals but will serve as a foundation to your relationship with yourself and the world as you holistically explore, develop and define your creativity. All ages and levels welcome!

ABOUT ME

Training: I have training in acting, voice and movement/dance from The Julliard School, NYU Tisch, and UC Santa Barbara (BFA in Acting, with honors).

Experience: I have performed in both LA and NYC on stage, in film/ TV, Voice Acting and VR special effects projects. While acting in LA, I signed with WME, one of the top entertainment agencies in the world. I am also trained in Yoga Therapy, Polyvagal Therapy and Mayofascial Release techniques.

My lessons are designed for anyone interested in...

Acting and the performing arts on a personal or professional basis.

Building confidence and honing performance skills in the context of career (enhancing communication, management, conflict resolution and pitch/ presentation skills).

Discovering their unique expression of creativity as it applies to work and life through a structured and supported way.

All ages and levels welcome!

MIND-BODY EXERCISES

Mind-Body exercises serve as the foundation of awareness for both the self and the creation of character in my work. With enhanced Mind-Body awareness, my students learn to access and harness the depth and range of their physical, mental and emotional experience.

VOICE + DICTION

The voice is an incredible instrument and is a powerful pathway to accessing emotion and truth. How we tell stories defines how we receive them, through our choice of words and our delivery of them, we create mental, emotional and physical responses. My students often feel incredibly liberated through our vocal work, reaching new parts of their identity and therefore new possibilities for who they can be.

MOVEMENT/DANCE

While the mind serves us in analysis and imagination, our body ultimately delivers our performance.

To become someone else, we must first know what it is to fully be ourselves.

Through movement and dance, we will work to dissolve physical, mental and emotional tensions that may be holding you back from feeling and performing your best. Our relationship to our body and physical expression must be understood, liberated and then refined for performance.

Acting for THEATER and FILM

THEATER invites us to our whole being as it requires diverse and intricate physical, vocal and emotional range. The theatrical process of character development is wildly fun and collaborative. I honor this ethos in my lessons with exercises in character study, visualization and more.

FILM techniques centers around building skills for the intimate and repetitive nature of filmmaking. My students learn to control their focus, build vivid inner life for the character and create consistent and deeply grounded performances for the camera.

I love guiding people to explore, embody, express and enjoy their unique version of creativity. It is truly a gift and a privilege to support my students to discover new things about who they are, what they can do and who they can be!
