About David
I offer one on one training with a limited number of students.
Seeing positive results as students of all ages apply the tools of acting.
My acting career started when I was a young teen in Dayton Ohio. Throughout high school and undergraduate college years at Ohio State University I was cast in every play and musical I auditioned for and was honored to represent O.S.U. performing at the Yale Theatre Festival.
I moved to New York in the early 60's and was immediately hired as a principle actor at the non-Equity Priscilla Beach Theater in Plymouth Massachusetts for their summer stock season. I was Awarded Best Actor.
Soon thereafter I was hired as an actor in the children's touring musical theater repertory company, The Prince Street Players, earning my Actor's Equity card, the professional actor's union. Performing on CBS with the company earned me my AFTRA membership (American Federation of TV and Radio Artists).
I joined AGVA (American Guild of Variety Artists) working for Bil Baird and Sid and Marty Krofft at the 1964-65 New York Worlds Fair.
In S.W. Ohio in the 1970's I produced and hosted Bozo's Big Top on WSWO-TV, followed by hosting The Good Time Invention on the CBS affliate, WHIO-TV.
When live children's television was replaced by syndicated cartoon shows, I continued my career acting in Equity dinner theaters across Ohio, Illinois, Alabama and Misourri.
In 1986 I was able to enjoy an early retirement and moved to Central Florida.
Now, as a senior citizen, and resulting from a request by Lessons in 2019, I decided to share my wealth of acting knowledge with people of all ages who desire to learn the art and craft of acting on a one to one basis at an affordable cost.

In our first meeting we get to know each other, learn what the student wants to accomplish, discover through a few acting exercises the student's present level of skills if any, and discuss what she or he can expect with my help.
