About Tasha

Working one-on-one teaching math helps by focusing on the strengths and learning needs of that individual with litlle to no distractions.

My passion is to help improve the lives of others through education and empowerment using a wide varierty of teaching strategies.

In 2009, I aquired my bachelors in the Science of Elementary Education. Furthermore, as a former tutor of Huntington Learning Center, I have aquired strategies to help learners reach their fullest potential. Also, I am a seasonal Headstart Toddler Teacher for migrant working families which had given the opportunity to learn much of the language and culture of the Hispanic community.

When my daughter was in elementary school, I got inspired to do better in helping out my daughter do school work and went to school for it. It was a struggle for me to help her out with assignments when I did not have the skills or understanding of material. Also, going to school for teaching, I could help her and others who struggle and need that one-on-one time that would higher thier academic potential.

First by having a phone interview to get to know one another. Learning interests, strengths, and needs. Speak with parents to gather more information on setting goals and standards.



Worked mostly with elementary students and toddlers.



Be patient, ask questions, and it's ok if you do not understand. 



During Covid 19, as a toddler teacher, for some time we were not able to have children in school so I sent out notes with step-by-step instructions and materials for parents to do learning activities at home with their children. Parents loved this and every week gave feedback, how much time they spent on actiivtity, how well it went, and even took photos and/or videos.
