About Amanda
Hello! My name is Amanda and I am a high school senior - probably not much older than most of you! I feel that as someone still in high school, I can better relate to my students and the material they are learning as I also just learned and excelled at it in the recent past. I also offer strong knowledge and academic experience (1560 SAT score, I have been acknowledged by the state of PA for outstanding SAT performance, I have all A's in 11 AP courses). Most importantly, I look forward to offering you a nonjudgmental, stress free environment to learn and grow!
I have experience as a chemistry tutor, and to this day I remember how great it felt to watch my students gain confidence in their material and in themselves. I have been very successful academically during my time in high school (high SAT score, all A's in 11 AP classes) and I love being able to give something back and help others who want to do their best and improve their academics.
SAT Related: Score of 1560, National Merit Scholarship Semifinalist (for exceptional performance on the PSAT), Certificate of Merit from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for outstanding performance on the SAT.
Other: All A's in 11 total AP classes throughout high school (I am happy to provide more details if you have questions).

I have previously worked with high school freshmen and sophomores learning science, but I am open to speaking with all students to see if we could be a good match.
I would advise a student looking for someone to help them with their academics to speak with their tutor before they start meeting regularly! I make this a requirement for every student I work with: I make time to meet (in this case over the phone or elsewhere online) and have a short conversation to make sure we will be a good match. Follow your gut and find someone who will be kind and patient, intelligent and helpful, and suiting your needs.
