Assess their current level of talent and understanding of the game of basketball... talent level dosent matter to me. I understand that once a child has developed a confident understanding of the game and a motivation that they are doing great even if they don't feel they are, they will become dynamic players full of confidence.

Students ranging from the ages of 5 up to 17

Look for a trainer who is positive about the game of basketball. A teacher that understands, if you treat the game of basketball and your body with special and honest care, you will reap the benefits of greatness... don't cheat yourself or the sport you love. Find a coach who is uplifting, believing, and positive with you and who motivates you and pushes you to the next level to be great in not only basketball but all of life as a whole.

In 2019, I trained ages 5 to 13 boys and girls basketball camp in Franklin Tennessee and had my own basketball team that I coached raniging from different ages and coached 3 different teams at one time but the games were at different times for each age

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Student have to be open, a good coach will consider a students needs to accominadate what's needed and will be able to filter out excuses and the will to do or not to do... but, students should always feel comfortable with coaches and coaches should have an open door policy with all students
