About Kyle
Hello fellow billiards fans! Thank you for your interest! My name is Kyle Scallan and I am a lifelong student of pool. I focus more with beginners in order to create a solid foundation to build on. I currently play in a BCA league in the League City area. I used to play APA where I was able to qualify for the International APA Tournament in Las Vegas.
As a practicing architect, I have an eye for detail and a feel for the physics and geometry that are the basis of pocket billiards. I will teach you the importance of your stance, eye line, stroke, power, aiming systems, kicking/banking, and the different types of spin/english. More importantly, how to combine them all to prepare for the next level of your game. I will provide a detailed report for each lesson giving positive and constructive feedback. This is to help the new player and the casual player become more consistent.
All ages. Pricing and Options may vary. 90-Minute sessions are advised. 1-Hour session minimum. Plans available.
I am a lifelong athlete that has played basketball, baseball, soccer, golf, and billiards. I have a degree in architecture which applies to the physics and geometry that are inherent in pool. I am also a veteran of the Navy, so I have an eye for detail. I currently play BCA league and have played in the APA International 8-Ball Tournament in Las Vegas.

Observation. I want to have a good understanding of their ability and limitations, along with any fundamentals that may need tweaking. Everyone's body functions differently. Finding ways to achieve the goals of a proper stance or bridge may require further attention with some students.

Details
Standard rates are $30-$40 per hr, depending on distance. This includes table time and use of carbon fiber CueTec pool cue (if the student does not have their own; highly recommended). I recommend 90-Minute lessons because the time will fly; 1-hour sessions minimum. Long-term plans are available to get detailed reports and video notes.
