About Claire
Claire teaches an open level anatomy conscious class with movement and flow, inspired by how she creates movement as a choreographer. She pays attention to each of her students and gives verbal assists. She encourages her students to practice patience and understanding with where they are each day as they come into the room and helps them in their honest journey on the mat.
Classes and privates are Zoom or pre-recorded classes in vinyasa or restorative yoga, mediation and breathwork or fitness based classes.
I enjoy helping my students find ease and joy in movement. Helping them get out the 'monkey mind' and focus on the moment they are presently in.
Breathwork, meditation and yoga are all a practice not a perfect and I enjoy creating a safe place for my students to work on this journey.
I am originally from Portland, Oregon and a graduate of Bard College with a B.A. in dance. She has performed and choreographed nationally and internationally: in Ghana, Jamaica, and New York. As a co-founder of KitchenSink Collective I choreographed, danced and worked with the dance company from 2012 through 2016. I have performed with other companies as well throughout the New York area. I have taught Core class, yin yoga, meditation and vinyasa. Since moving to New York in 2011 Claire has also worked administratively in the arts for the past six years. I recieved my 200hr yoga teacher certification from OM Factory.
