About Igor Afonkin &
I.M. Dance specializes in ballroom dance instruction in the Minneapolis-St. Paul metropolitan area. The owners and principle dance instructors Igor Afonkin & Meghan Anderson offer a full range of Ballroom and Latin dance lessons for all skill levels, and with or without a partner. Igor and Meghan are certified experts in teaching beginner and social ballroom dancers, wedding couples, as well as competitive dancers.
When Igor and Meghan are not busy teaching in the Twin Cities you can find them traveling the country competing together in the Professional American Smooth division where they have taken home many Rising Star titles.
Igor Afonkin and Meghan Anderson are both highly skilled and trained to help you learn. They also are actively competing and training around the country. Igor and Meghan have degrees in the fine arts and have been certified in all styles of dance through both Fred Astaire and DVIDA.

I.M. Dance offers instruction on Private and Group levels. Learning how to dance is made to feel easy and fun!
On your first lesson, you’ll learn the basic elements on which all dance patterns are based. By the end of your first lesson you’ll be on your way to dancing!
Our private lessons consist of one individual or a couple working with one instructor. Private instruction is tailored to your personal needs. Learning at your own pace is the optimum method of comprehension and that’s what private instruction reinforces.
Group classes are designed to be taken in addition to your private lessons, and consist of several students learning from one instructor. The classes offer a wide variety of dances and topics to better your technique, physical fitness, and understanding of ballroom dance.
Igor and Meghan have worked with all ages and levels of students. Both specializing in beginner students, as well as advanced students.
Igor and Meghan take pride in working with wedding couples and famlies preparing for their big day.
Take your time and find an instuctor that will meet your indivdual needs.
