About Kathleen
I love teaching all ages the principles of good art. I follow a composite of traditional atelier methods and newer ones, with an emphasis on a solid drawing foundation and good composition as well as effective use of color.
Being part of the creative process and watching the student grow as an artist
I studied at FSU, and went on to teach. I was a co-owner of a gallery in downtown Hollywood Florida. I continue to work on my art using a myriad of tools from books to plaster casts and props which my students will have access to, including electronic media. But working from life is the best way to learn.
