About Eric
Eric brings over 8 years of experience from a thriving drum lesson community in Southern California. Students and parents can take comfort in knowing that they will recieve a drum set education that will equip them for any level of drumming that they wish to do. On top of extensive experience in the drum lesson world, Eric holds a Bachelor's Degree from Berklee College of Music. More information can be found at ericberringer.com.
I enjoy helping students achieve their goals while gaining enjoyment out of the challenge that learning an instrument can bring.
I started teaching privately in Boston while still attending Berklee just to help some friends out who didn't know where to start on the instrument. After graduating and moving to Southern California, I got connected with two private lesson schools and taught my own students privately.
8 years of teaching from The Music Factory OC in Costa Mesa, CA along with additional private students and 19 years of drumming experience.

I like to ask the students some questions to better understand their interests and goals so we can develop a game plan.
All ages. The youngest being 3 all the way up to adults in their 50's. This included all ability levels as well as a variety of goals, from just having fun to preparing for college level auditions.
Seeing students performing in live recitals with full bands or on their own along with backing tracks.

He is able to tailor his lesson plans to the needs of each student while still being able to create a fun, yet effective learning environment. Also he’s a good all around person.
Eric is a amazing drummer. I learned all of my foundation drumming skills from him. He was always super cool, funny, and professional. I would highly recommend Eric for anyone who is looking to learn or improve their drum skills.
Super awesome guy, and great teacher. Was always able to help me with whatever i needed to work on behind the drums at any given time.
Eric has a great, easygoing attitude and is extremely knowledgeable. He is open to all questions and wants to make sure his students learn AND have a great time doing it! I could not recommend him enough to anyone interested in taking drum lessons!
We highly recommend Eric as a drum instructor. He is very efficient in his teaching. He teaches proper techniques and makes it fun. Me and my son Tilo are bummed he moved to Nashville.
Eric is very easy going and knows how to approach different teaching situations. He helped me step up my game and prepared me to tackle auditions for high school jazz band.
