I am a high schoool honors student in the IB program at John F. Kennedy High School. This is the most rigorous acemedic program in the Anaheim Union High School district and it focuses on strengetning learning to preprare high school students for college and beyond. I have been in the program for two years and have loved the tips it has given me to succeed. I believe that I could pass these tips to students while providing an individual experice where students feel comfortable in the learning enviorment without pressure or stress they may feel with an actual teacher. Since I am a senior, I have been preparing to go to college and have recived accpetances from numerous Cal States and out of state univerities. I plan to study English in pursuit of becoming an English teacher someday so while I currently do not have any tutuoring experience, I belive having some tutoring experience under my belt would prove benificial for my future career goals. Thank you so much and I hope you consider me as a future tutor.

While I have not begun teaching, it is my dream to teach. As a senior I have begun tkinking about my career and I belive taching is the best option for me. My goal in life has always been to bring positivity and one thing I have noticed is, when it comes to school the feeling it gives- is anything but positive. That is the exact reason why I want to be a teacher. That feeling is terrible and if I can assist in making the schoolwork easier then I feel like I can distill hardwordking attitudes and atributes in them. I have been accepted into numerous colleges and am now waiting to make my desicion on where I would like to begin my study of english. So ultimatley, while I have not had much experience I feel as if my academic record prepares me to work with students, as well as it would prove benificial to my future endevours as an educator.

I am currently a student at John F. Kennedy High school who is enrolled in the International Bacculareate program. This program is the most rigourous accedemic course offered on the campus because it sets juniors and seniors in college level classes with college level work. Therefore, I feel prepared to assist students by passing down the tips I have learned throughout my school career.

About the lesson

When meeting a new student I like to undertstand a little bit about their strengths and weakness to accurately judge what can be improved. This process usually begins simply with a conversation between myself and the student where I introduce myself and then ask about how school in general is going. After having some time to listen to them speak I can judge what subjects he or she is struggling or excelling in, then we can move to looking at the work that they need the most dire help with.

I have only worked alongside my peers with high school level work. I have worked along with my sibllings who are all younger. This means I have a wide range of knowledge on many subjects from kindergarden to high school and therefore with this knowledge I would like to help to make learning easier.

I would ultimatley tell a student looking to hire me that I being a difference that other tutors do not have. I am a student which gives me relatability with the student. When I have worked alngside a teacher I have always felt pressure, however when working alongside a student, I felt much more comfort and relaxation.

A recent even that I am fond of was when I had recieved the student of the month award from my high school for the month of October. I had been working for four years to have my name be up on the marquee that displays for the school and after a long time of hard work and dedication, I did it!

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
The questions a student need to think through before talkig to teachers about their needs is about their understanding of the subject that they need assistance on as well as the criteria for their own assignment. Therefore, if the student can not explain the problem clealry then it will be diffiucult to find a solution.

I do not have a standard pricing system for my lesons, however my base prices run from $10-20 per hour. Will be determined depending on difficulty of subject and topic given.

ie. Higher level courses (AP, IB, Honors) $20

Rest (K-8)- $10-15
