About Danielle
I think what makes me stand out above other applicants is my positive attitude and passion towards student success. There are many qualified candidates. I am not only qualified, but also love being able to help others reach a goal that perhaps they thought was unattainable, and by helping students in any circumstance realize their potential in every aspect of their life.
One thing I enjoy most about being a teacher is seeing that lightbulb go off in my students. That "aha" moment when they finally understand any given concept and feel good about getting it. Their confidence gives me so much joy and is just one thing I love about the work I do.
I got my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Wyoming in 2016. I am a licensed teacher with a K-6 endorsement. I currently teach 3rd grade at a charter school in Layton, UT.

When I start working with a new student, I want them to be comfortable working with me first. I will do some ice breaker activities, ask them about what things they like and dislike, etc. Depending on the students' needs, I will do some formative assessments to determine where they need the most help academically and start there.
I have worked with all types of students ranging from students that are academically below the grade level standard by a couple of grades to students that are far exceeding the grade level requirements. Every year teaching I have had so many different types of students and different learners. With that I have differentiated countless amounts of lessons to fit each of their learning styles. Not one child learns the exact same way, so it's important to figure out how they best learn and cater to that.
