About Vanessa

I work in depth with a student/client to make sure there is no stone unturned when it comes to their tutoring. I work on proficiency, grammar, spelling, pronunciation, and most importantly- a better understanding of the language. What good is it for a student to learn another language, but not know how to use it? (That's a big difference between some teachers!)

I provide detailed and custom made interactive lesson plans for each student, so that their learning experience is customized to each students personal needs.

I have been teaching for over 15 years, and have taught English in 9 countries now.

Something I enjoy most about working with my students, is seeing them happily satisfied with themselves after a lesson. There's no greater feeling for a teacher than knowing your student is happy with their correct work.

Honestly, I have always loved school. I looked forward to going to school my whole life, so I knew very early on that I wanted to encourage others to learn and enjoy gaining knowledge as well. :)

I am almost finished with my Masters in Education. I have been teaching for over 15 years now. I have taught in over 8 countries, and ages from 4-68 years old, and all levels of English.

About the lesson

First, is always assessment. A teacher always needs to know a students level of reading and comprehension, writing & spelling, verbiage, & Grammar. Once those levels have been assessed. Then I like to learn how the student prefers to learn. (We all learn in different ways!)

I have worked with students from a very small age to elderly. From beginners to upper advanced. To students with major learning disabilities. It's never too early or late to start!

Look for a teacher that you think you'll feel comfortable around. If you're not comfortable, you're not going to learn.

A recent event I'm proud of, is helping one of my students prep and study for her English proficiency exam, and she didn't just pass, but passed with flying colors (an amazingly proud grade!).
