About Hannah

Hello Families and Students,

I am currently a one-teacher show and have patience and enthusiasm for all subjects that I hope to bring to each session. I prefer to do one-on-one video sessions to give all my attention to each student, but I can work with up to three students at a time as long as they are working at the same level.

I enjoy seeing students fully grasp the concepts they are learning and see that "Aha!" moment as all the facts come together. I will admit, teaching others also helps me remember all the building blocks taught in school that I can use and build upon in my own learning journey.

I taught the children I would babysit and this led to working in classrooms over the summer breaks.

I have been tutoring children in reading and writing as early as middle school. In more formal settings, I have assisted instruction in summer camps where we taught robotics and circuitry and organized club activities teaching my fellow classmates how to use various mediums when prototyping.

About the lesson

When meeting a student for the first time, I like to understand where they are in their education, what they are struggling with, and what they excel at to prepare for our sessions.

I have worked with students as young as first grade up to middle school students.

Look for a teacher who understands how you learn and will explain difficult topics in a way that is best for you.

Recently, due to the pandemic, I have the joy of seeing my younger brothers learn right in front of my eyes and have the opportunity to teach them about various topics they would not have the chance to learn until much later. Topics like physics in legos and blanket forts, chemistry in baking and cooking, and history in news and everyday things.
