About Nicole

As a current college student, I understand how difficult mastering new material can be. However, with the right tips, tricks, and study methods, I want to help students conquer tricky materials and see the real-world importance. I have taken rigorous courses (such as Beginning and Intermediate Microeconomics and Macroeconomics, Development Economics, Law and Economics, Game Theory, Beginning and Intermediate Statistics, AP Literature, etc.), participated in large-scale research projects, and interned for several companies, while maintaining a high GPA and a spot on the Dean's List. To conclude, I get what students are going through (as I went through it as well) and through my services, I want to help students effectively approach tricky topics and master them! :)

I am an economics major with a data analysis minor, so economics and statistics are subjects that I am passionate about and would love to teach others about! Additionally, I have very strong writing and analysis skills which have helped me tremendously in my courses and in receiving research grants and internships. I have also taken (and passed) numerous AP history and english courses in high school. I enjoy relaying my study tips to students and seeing a shift in the way they approach a subject. Sometimes they realize they were looking at it all wrong and it becomes exponentially easier from there.

I enjoy helping students learn skills that are applicable to different subjects! Some students grumble and wonder when "Hamlet" or the Pythagorean Theorem will come in handy. I've learned over time that the beauty is in the skills you're learning, not necessarily what you're applying them to. For instance, I love economics, statistics, and English. They're all quite different, but they all include some form of analysis and logic. If I ever come across an economic concept or a statistical model that I find boring, I try to find at least one interesting thing about it and grasp its real-world application. This gives it some purpose...even if it's boring.
