About Morgan

I currently work at a middle and elementary school and I absolutely love watching kids gain the skills they need to progress academically. I have a special set of skills being a Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP) that helps me to help students better. I am able to prompt/cue students when they are learning new skills and see where the break down needs to occur.

I love working from the bottom and building skills up, skills needed to be successful academically. Seeing the growth in a student and progress made is one of my favorite things to watch. Being a Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP) in the schools, I pull kids out of their class to target specific goals they need to be successful in school. The services I provide are extra services where I work in tandem with the teachers so that they are able to assist the children in the classroom better. I would like to provide those skills to students needing tutoring.

I knew I wanted to be Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP) when I was a senior in high school while working with the special eduaction PE class.

I have a masters degree in Speech and Language Pathology. I work with students age 5-14. I am trained in the areas of language development (semantics, morphology, syntax, pragmatics), speech development, and cognitive development.

About the lesson

I usually spend some time talking about areas of concern, once that is established I gather a baseline of the skills. Meaning how much of this skill can the student do independently. From there I am able to create a plan on how to break down the skills and build the skills up so that they are able to independently do the skills they need to be successful.

I have worked with students across the lifespan but I have specialized in school ages 5-14.

Make sure the teacher or Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP) is able to break down the skills to build up to the overall skills.
