About Forrest
Hello,
My name is Randall Ward and I teach electric and acoustic guitar. Musical styles include blues, rock, jazz, slide guitar and fingerstyle. I’ve been teaching guitar for over 25 years. Lessons will generally include:
-Learning underlying techniques that promote good playing habits such as hand and wrist position, strumming and picking tendencies, fingerstyle, standard and hybrid picking.
-Learning songs in a musical style that’s appealing, will advance playing technique and is at an appropriate skill level for the student.
-When appropriate, music theory and applying it to guitar. For example, understanding chord symbols and chord construction.
The overall goal is to help you advance in your playing and enjoy the process while learning and expanding your skills.
