About Summer

Summer offers private and group hunter-jumper lessons for beginner through intermediate riders of all ages. For riders who do not own a horse, Summer can offer her own competition horses or match a rider to a privately-owned horse — both with opportunities to lease. Lessons are designed to help students gain confidence in working with horses, to develop their horses’ abilities, and to reach their highest riding potential. Training sessions are also available for your horse. Whether you need your horse exercised when you are unable to ride or would like Summer to spend time on some of the areas that you have been struggling with during lessons, training rides are a wonderful tool for both you and your horse.

I have worked in several different barn environments ranging from private 4 stall barns to 30 stall show barns. I have always enjoyed helping the littles and teaching where I can. After several years of helping with camps and helping the kids tack up and cool out their horses in the every day lesson programs, I decided to take the plunge and start taking on my own clients.

I like to start with a 30 minute private evaluation lesson to see where the student is at in his/her riding abilities. From there, I can see what areas we can improve on.

I offer 30 minute private lessons ($35) and 1 hour private lessons ($45). I also offer a monthly package of 4-1 hour private lessons ($145).
