About Kristi

Legend Acres offers more than just riding — we provide comprehensive equine education through CHA-certified horseback riding lessons, the Equine Learning Lab, and hands-on in-person labs for both adults and kids.

As a combat-disabled, woman-owned program with national recognition for excellence, we teach English and Western riding for riders ages 3 and up, combining mounted instruction with unmounted horsemanship skills. Our curriculum develops balance, coordination, safety awareness, and horse-handling confidence while deepening understanding of equine behavior, care, and communication.

Why choose Legend Acres?

Certified Instruction: All lessons taught by CHA-certified riding instructors who uphold top safety and teaching standards.

Equine Learning Lab: Engaging equine science and horsemanship courses for youth and adults, blending classroom learning with hands-on experience.

In-Person Labs: 90-minute, interactive sessions that bring equine concepts to life for all ages and skill levels.

Natural Horsemanship: Gentle, effective methods that build trust, responsiveness, and a true partnership with the horse.

Holistic Education: Includes grooming, tacking, groundwork, equine nutrition, and behavior studies.

Inclusive Approach: Welcoming riders of all abilities, including those with therapeutic, educational, or confidence-building goals.

ESA Eligible: Legend Acres horseback riding lessons, Equine Learning Lab, and in-person labs are approved for Arizona ESA funding through ClassWallet, making them accessible to ESA families statewide.

Whether you’re riding for recreation, preparing for competition, studying equine science, or seeking personal growth, Legend Acres provides a safe, supportive, and professional environment in Surprise, Wittmann, and surrounding Arizona areas.
