About Tanya
Hello, I'm Tanya, an experienced tutor with over seven years of teaching experience, helping children become confident readers, writers, and English speakers. I also mentor adults attempting for exams like IELTS and SAT.
I am Jolly Phonics and Grammar certified and specialize in teaching reading, writing, phonics, grammar, vocabulary, spelling, spoken English, and NAPLAN preparation. Over the years, I have worked with children of different abilities and learning styles, helping them strengthen their English skills while building confidence and a genuine love for learning.
My teaching philosophy is simple: every child deserves to feel capable, supported, and excited about learning. I take the time to understand each student's strengths, challenges, and goals so I can create lessons that are engaging, structured, and personalized to their individual needs.

Every child learns differently, which is why I tailor each lesson to suit the student's age, learning style, strengths, and goals. My aim is to build not only strong English skills but also confidence, curiosity, and a genuine enjoyment of learning.
I teach children and adults , supporting students from early years through primary school and lower secondary. My lessons are ideal for learners who need help with reading, phonics, grammar, writing, vocabulary, spelling, spoken English, homework support, or preparation for school assessments, including the Australian NAPLAN curriculum.
As a Jolly Phonics and Grammar certified tutor with over seven years of teaching experience, I use a structured yet engaging approach. Lessons combine explicit teaching with interactive activities such as storytelling, educational games, guided reading, creative writing, conversation practice, and problem-solving tasks. Every activity is designed to keep students actively involved while developing essential English skills.
A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes and follows a clear structure:
