About Kelly

I am a recent medical school graduate from Loyola Stritch SOM in Chicago. I went to undergrad at UCLA where I got my bachelors in science with a Biology-Psychology major. I have worked extensively with children with disabilities, something which inspired me to go to med school to become a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist. I have a life long love for learning and science in particular! I hope I can help you do the best and be the most confident about your schoolwork!

About the lesson

First, I would like to get to know the student by asking them about themselves, their goals and hobbies. I want to know what barriers they may be facing with regard to their school work. Is it the material that is difficult? Is it the volume of material? Is it the quality of the teaching they are receiving? Is it the amount of time provided on exams? This will allow me to form a plan for attack of the study material! Then, I will help the student make a schedule for studying to make sure that the student learns skills in time management as well. This is a skill that many of my classmates in medical school struggled with, so it is good to learn these things earlier rather than later.
