About Mitch

No matter your skill level in math, I pride myself in being able to help anyone understand their subject.

I have a passion for teaching and an equally strong passion for math. Math gets a bad reputation for being everyone's least favorite subject in school, but I want everyone to see the beauty in it the same way I do.

I have been tutoring in math for the last 10 years. I was a volunteer peer-tutor in high school, and worked part-time tutoring while getting my math degree in college. Since then, I have been tutoring online.

About the lesson

First, I want to learn about the student and their experience in school and with math. Then we can jump right into the tutoring: what they've been learning recently, and where they're having trouble.

I've worked with many types of students, from high school and above. In college, I tutored science majors, business majors, and fellow math majors. It doesn't matter if a student loves math or dreads it, because I will still be there to help.

I worked with Mitch about a year ago to prepare for my precalc class. He really helped me a lot and dedicated a lot of time and effort to make sure I understood the material. Every week he would email me links of practice problems and was always patient with me and worked with me at my own pace. I ended the class with a B+ and its all thanks to him. This coming spring semester I will be taking Calc 1 and the first thing I did was contact him to see if he could tutor me again. I would highly recommend Mitch for anyone who needs a tutor as he is an amazing tutor and overall a very kind person who truly wants you to succeed.
