About Keyuri

Hello everyone, I am a masters sudent getting my degree in Neuroengineering at USC. I have been tutoring kids in math and the sciences for about 5 years now. I absolutely love teaching other kids- it is a great feeling when they get that "AHA moment" and that is why I do what I do. If you are interested, I would be glad to send over my contact info as well as my LinkedIn profile. Looking forward to meeting you all!

I started teaching little kids at a tutoring center when I just graduated high school. In college, I tutored kids my own age because that was the best way to learn. Now, this has developed into a passion and is something I am good at. Teaching others has always been a strong suit of mine and I enjoy doing it!

I got my BS degree in Neuroscience and I am currently getting my masters degree in Neuroengineering at USC. I have been tutoring kids from the age of 8-21 year olds for about 5 years now. I enjoy teaching and helping others to excel in their line of field! Being a young tutor, I am very fresh on all the material the kids learn since I am a student myself.

About the lesson

I like to first sit down and discuss the resources that their school gives them. With that, I will develop a plan on the best way to approach the class. I think the best way to learn is to interact and teach someone else. So I will have the students study the plan I create for them and then they will go ahead and teach me what they learned (as if they are the teachers). I will develop the best way to condense the information given by the books, so they can better understand the material.

I have been tutoring kids from the age of 8-21 year olds for about 5 years now.

One piece of advice I would give is to pick a tutor that they can enjoy learning with. If you don't enjoy what you are learning, then it becomes hard to excel.

She is incredibly organized and skilled in the subjects she teaches. She tutored me for basic math and chemistry. Ever since then, i've picked up on new methods on how to study more efficiently. I definitely recommend her if you are trying to ramp up your studying skills and brush up on any subjects.

She helped me improve on my chemistry skills a lot. She is very organized and has a diligent plan on how to approach the tutoring session. I gave her my notes from school and she looked over them quickly so she can develop the best way to go about the session. She is very patient and creative in the ways she tutors, which is very rare to find these days. Highly recommend her!
