About Susan

I am a private tutor for students from Kindergarten to Eighth Grade. I specialize in Reading, Spelling, Language, Composition, Handwriting (both cursive and printing), and Math. I have 36 years of teaching experience, a wealth of successfully used curriculum, and a current California teaching credential.

I love teaching children and have been very successful in meeting their needs on a one-on-one basis either in person at my home or using Zoom or Skype.

I hold a current California teaching credential. I have taught for a total of 26 years at two different private schools. I have also subbed in public schools and taught at a local preschool. I am trained in the Carden method for Language Arts which is an outstanding program for teaching Reading, Spelling, Handwriting, and Composition. I have written many curriculums, and as a master teacher I have trained other instructors. I tutored all of the years that I also taught full time. Currently I have been doing private tutoring only for more than 6 years.

About the lesson

First I speak with the parent by phone to determine exactly what the student's most critical needs are. Then I meet in person with the student and give them an informal assessment in the areas mentioned by the parent. I always talk to the child also to gather further information. After meeting with the child, I speak again with the parent to go over the results of the assessment and suggest a plan of action that will best meet the child's needs. I do not charge for the initial assessment.

Mrs. Bradarich is a great tutor. She has been tutoring both of my children for the last two years. She is a former teacher form a very reputable private school and you can clearly see her skills through her work. She started tutoring our kids when they were a bit behind their peers and just few months later or kids were way above the norm. We highly recommend Mrs. Bradarich.

Mrs. Bradarich is a natural born teacher. My children went to the same school (Carden Academy) where Mrs. Bradarich taught for many years. My children have expressed how deeply they appreciate the education they received at Carden Academy. They have also mentioned that many of their college professors and employers have commented how impressed they are with their obtained knowledge. It is a basic education that Mrs. Bradarich can deliver. Sadly, Carden Academy is no longer. I observe the weak education that my grandson (Tyler) is currently receiving; therefore, I asked Mrs. Bradarich to tutor him. What progress Tyler has made in Math, Language, Composition, and Cursive Handwriting! His confidence is improving, as well as his attitude towards school in general, as he experiences success. He loves Mrs. Bradarich, he loves to learn...he is happy, and I am, too!
