About Ethan
I enjoy helping other people understand concepts in math and how to work through problems. I am currently enrolled in a university pursuing a bachelor's in computer science and am majoring in mathematics. I have been helping anyone who wants help in math since middle school and continue to do so here in college. I have experience explaining concepts to both people who are completely lost in the subject and those who simply don't grasp something specific. Either way, I'll work hard to make sure they fully understand it.
I have a deep love for math and love explaining every step I do and why I do it. When I help people through problems or explain a concept to them, I go as in depth as they'd like me to and if they don't understand, I will come up with an alternative explaination with examples to help.
I've always caught onto concepts in math quicker than others so I began helping classmates who didn't understand it.
I have always been high acheiving in mathematics. In each of my years in grade school, I've been in upper level maths. Currently, I am enrolled in a university where my major, computer science, is heavily reliant on math. I am also minoring in math.

When working with a new student I typically ask what they need help in and how farmiliar they are with the topic. After I get a better grasp of their understanding I'll come up with a way to explain it. I always make sure they know to stop me if they're confused about something so I know what to get in to further detail about.
I'd tell them to look at one of the teacher's explainations of a problem or concept to see if they understand their reasoning and explaination.
