About Salma

I am passionate about teaching and enhancing my learning.
My previous academic background is a BA in Psychology from Newman University College. The graduate program I did had modules in Educational Psychology, which would be a perfect fit for me to expand my career in working with elementary school students.
Currently, I am working as an ELL Tutor at an Elementary school in Connecticut. Throughout my years of expertise I have had the opportunity of working with different age groups and diverse groups of children, giftedness and those with learning disabilities.
I am a mother of three elementary age children so I have the knowledge and understanding of elementary education.
As a result, I have become better at designing creative and stimulating lesson plans with many different academic levels. In addition, I understand the benefit of hands on learning , scaffolding techniques and teacher parent involvement. I am also aware and have tutored using zoom platform online tutoring.
My greatest strength is making sure children learn at their own pace, including inspiring and motivation.
