About Corinne
I have my MPH and DrPH and love working with students to help them learn public health, epidemiology, biostatistics, and SPSS. I worked with master's level students for 3 years being the supplemental instructor for Principles of Biostatistics. I loved helping my students learn how to use SPSS and the appropriate biostatistical test based on their data. I also love working with students because I love to share my love of the field. I also have clinical experience in public health, so I like to apply my personal experience in the field when I teach.
I love sharing my enthusiasm with my students. I love teaching and I hope it shows with every session. I honestly love learning from my students as well. I feel that it keeps my skills sharp getting to help them regularly.
I was recommended by a professor of mine for the supplemental instruction position that I held for 3 years. She thought I would be a great teacher, and to this day she said she made a great referral.
I have an MPH, DrPH, hold my MLT (ASCP) and taught biostatistics in SPSS for 3 years.

I like to find out what the student would like to review in our session. I asked them to send me anything like class PowerPoints, homework, etc. I review this prior to our session and have a game plan in place so we cover what needs to be covered in our session.
I work with undergraduate, masters, and doctoral level students. So your typical learners as well as adult learners. I love working with adult learners.
I have many studentst that come to me after they were paired with someone who claims they know SPSS, but they didn't. Ensure that they tutor is able to use SPSS because if they are not, they probably will not be able to help you with that program.
I worked with a student recently who was able to excel in her course because of the time I took to help her and explain her class to her. I created a video for her with step-by-step directions on how to use SPSS to complete her analyses.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Students should know what they want from their tutor. Do you need help with homework, understanding a concept, or are you just needing further instruction. Providing your tutor with your expectations in the beginning will make the experience better for everyone.

Details
My sessions range from $20 to $40 a hour depending on what we need to review and what I may need to prepare for you prrio to our session. If you are struggling, I like to have a PowerPoint or helpful handout to provide you at the end of our session to have to refer to as you continue on with your course.
