About Laurent
Laurent is a native and bilingual French American sound designer specializing in all aspects of audio production. Attentive, dedicated, loyal and inspirational leader, fervently builds collaborative teams of skilled professionals to imagine and execute unique initiatives, products and communication strategies. Accomplished post audio editor, mixer, recording engineer and sound designer with an extensive experience in the various fields of marketing and promotion within TV networks, and advertising agencies.
Moved from France to Los Angeles in 1996 to pursue his education and start a professional career, which generated a wealth of knowledge and resources in the fields of audio and all facets of post-production.
Responsibilities in voice-over recording, audio post-production and mix to picture, studio design, administrative, operation and logistic, as well as field recording and production intensive project, gives him the experience and the resources required to turn concepts into reality.
Laurent is always eager to share his passion of audio and voice-over to anyone starting a career in audio design and engineering.
Audio is a passion. I am always finding myself talking about it to people around me, friends and family. I started teaching to pass on the knowledge I have acquired through the years.
25 years of experience in the world of sound engineering, including sound recording, sound designing, sound mixing in various formats, mastering, voice-over recording... All of which was conducted in the entertainment industry.

Every student is different. I tailor and adapt my teaching style and content based on the student's needs and ambition. I always offer a first visit free of charge to get to know each other. It usually takes about 30 minutes. This introduction meeting creates a solid foundation and a better teaching/learning experience.
It is time and money invested in a very competitive industry. Learning the ins and outs of audio engineering must be done while being aware of new technologies. A successful sound engineer must always be on the cutting-edge of audio gear, INCLUDING current audio techniques and practices.
NAB – Always a thrill to walk up and down the aisles of the Las Vegas Convention Center and discover how the technology is adapting to an ever-changing and growing industry.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
The audio engineering profession is performed in many different environments. There are music studios, production studios, television studios, recording studios, Pre-production, post-production... Additionally, there are different jobs: Recordist, boom operator, editor, designer, mixer, vocal specialist, composer, mastering engineer, etc. It's always better to know the field beforehand.
