About Jean
I love to paint using my many years of being a fine artist and selling my work. I have taught art to elementary school and middle school students in Vermont. We will have fun doing what you would like to learn as a new beginner painter. I will teach you the basics of color and composition. We will create a portfolio of your work on google sites!
I am a certified art teacher in Vermont with a background in teaching art in public schools and in long term residencies exploring themes like nature and farming.

We would look at how to mix colors first. Starting with black and white we would paint a still life and then abstract it. After work in black and white we would learn how to make shades and tints and then to use this color in a poster using a choice of theme by the student. I also enjoy working with markers to draw ideas first!
