Experienced tutor in Piano in Ipswich, Kristen offers private lessons tailored to your needs.

I was only with Kristen for a short while, but felt like the 30 minute lessons I had with her, felt so much longer. I found her through a friend, and I have never had a singing coach in my 17 years of life, so I was nervous. I am very interested in opera and performing arias and to hear that she is an opera singer made me excited. When I had my first lesson with her, I could feel good vibes from her. She was herself and it was great because it made me more comfortable and I was excited to learn.

Kristen taught me many different warm ups and breathing exercising to help my vocals grow and do it in a healthy way. I still use these tools to better my voice today, and my voice has grown so much just by doing those tools everytime I sing. She taught me how to use different parts of my face and mouth, to better my vowels. When we would have time, she would also teach me some music theory which helped me understand how to count the beats of a song, so on my own I would know how. She also helped me get more comfortable in front of an people when I sing, which was hard for me for a long time. I learned how to act and portray a character with her help and guidance. There are just so many more tips and tricks she has that really help your voice. I thought I could never become the singer I am today with only a year or so of training, and I didn't have to go through pain like I thought I had to. Her tools were slowly but surely changing my habits when I sing, so I sing healthier and create a better sound. I thought when I was with Kristen she helped guide my training onto the right path. If you are interested in singing or opera like I am, I would go to Kristen. She for me was what I was looking for in a teacher. She is kind, funny and so talented that she can help you develop your voice too.

Kristen is an amazing teacher! She is so knowledgeable, patient, and kind. Our 10 year old son has taken voice and piano lesson with her for 2 years now. He is on the Autism spectrum and on days he is struggling, she has adapted the lesson quickly to meet his needs. One of my favorite things she does with him is connecting music to different emotions. I think this has helped so much with his ability to identify different emotions in peoples voices, even when speaking. It’s also helped him use different tones of voice to express emotions. She has also introduced him to yoga, which he loves and says helps his body feel calm and focused. I just love the connection she has made with him. He has grown so much through his experiences in music lessons with her. He adores Ms. Kristen and always looks forward to his lessons with her.

Kristen is a compassionate and incredibly knowledgeable educator, who uses her professional experience to greatly help her students achieve wonderful results. She helped me turn around many of my bad habits, and achieve my goals of singing on stage with my band!
