About Glafkos
I focus on enjoying the process of learning and exploring music, rather than the idea of performing alone.I encourage that to my students and try to find ways to make the process enjoyable and exciting for them.I believe that playing music as well as learning music should always be a fun and a joyable experience.
Music is universal and very personal at the same time, so I always try to be sensitive to how each student perceives and learns music as each one of us is unique and develops in his or her own way.
The process of constantly discovering and exploring music and it’s benefits.I enjoy seeing the positive effects it has on my students and seeing them develop gradually.
Music is absolutely a wonderful thing in our world and I enjoy sharing my passion for it with others.
I started teaching when people seeing my perform asked me to give them lessons.
I realized early that I enjoy teaching and truly enjoy seeing students develop through music.
My best education is my 30 years of experience teaching all levels, ages and styles.
I also have that many years of experience performing and working professionally as a musician.I've learned a lot and I'm learning constantly through those experiences.
I’m trained in both classical and jazz and I have both a Bachelor's and a Master’s degree in music. Also since October 2019 I'm an official Steinway educational partner.

Glafkos is extremely professional and talented musician, very passionate about the music. He has a great attitude and has been very patient teaching my children the piano. His teaching techniques make it easy to understand new complex pieces, he is very thorough and pays attention to small but important details. Glafkos encourages not only to learn how to play the piano, but to understand the music from the inside. My children always enjoy his lessons. They started taking lessons with Glafkos almost 5 years ago and they have made a great deal of progress in their playing and more important have developed an appreciation to the beauty of classical music.
He knows what I want to play and helps me understand more than just playing the notes. He has enabled me to enjoy playing the piano again. He is pleasant and calm and keeps me on track. I look forward to his lessons. And he is always punctual. I am learning so much from him.
