About Erik
As a current Division 1 Men's Soccer player, I know as well as anyone what the modern game demands from players tactically, techincally, cognitively, and physically. An experienced small-scale personal soccer coach and trainer, I know what works for kids, teens, and adults alike. I know not only what works but also what will keep one engaged for the long term. I plan is nothing if it is not engaging. Spending 20 years in the game, learning how to develop my own drills and skills on my own, I have a bottomless collection of drills and lesson plans that I look to pass on to my clients. After an initial assessment of where my client stands in terms of skills and technical capacity, the aim is to collectively and collaboratively pinpoint areas of strength and improvement. Based on this, lesson plans will be developed to maintain areas of proficiency and raise up areas of weakness. My goal is to give back to the game and to give kids tools I wish I had when I was younger. I hope to give my clients enough helpful tools and skills so that one day they will not need me.

I enjoy the process. I, myself, am a product of years and years of training every single day to get where I am. I only became a single sport athlete in my junior year of high school. Since then, due to hours and hours of learning and training on my own, I have become a Division 1 Soccer player starting on a record-breaking collegiate soccer team. I want to help people achieve the same things I have, but without the same struggles I had.
I am currently only a small-scale trainer working with a few clients. My goal, however, as a result of the progress I have been seeing in my current clients, is to help as many people as possible get access to tools and resources that I wish I had when I was younger.
Furthermore, I love what I do and I am just a college student at the moment. I understand how expensive local trainers and coaches can be. I want to be able to work with a client to ensure this relationship is affordable and reasonably priced.

First, I will collaborate with the client and/or his or her parent (if applicable) to ensure that our goals and vision align. Next, after ensuring that this is a relationship that can be sustained over a certain period of time, we will all work together to address areas of strength and areas of improvement. This will be the basis for what time will be spent on in the lessons. With these in mind, I hope to have a goal-setting session with the client. These goals will be objective (Ex: if we want to improve his or her left foot shooting, then we will test left foot shooting accuracy and power on an objective scale and the set goals which we train to achieve). After all this, we will then get into the bulk of our regular training, setting out lesson plans aimed for us to get the client to his or her goals. Notably, it is ideal if we can at least train once a week; however, I hope that I can provide my clients with other resources and drills to utilize when we are not in a structured training setting (for example, studying film or lessons online at home).
