About Josie
I love my subject! I love teaching it and I love helping students achieve their goals. I'm also very passionate about the environment, which drives my own research and writing. I am currently completing a PhD in contemporary American fiction at the University of Birmingham, where I also run an international interdisciplinary research network.

I use a wide variety of practices to accommodate for different learning styles. It is important for me that lessons are fun, engaging, and thought-provoking. I will match lesson plans to your learning style. There are no wrong answers when studying fiction! Just interesting theories to explore. I love discussing ideas with students. I can help you improve your essay writing, critical thinking, and close reading skills.
I teach at GCSE, A-level, and degree level. I have over 4 years of experience within schools, colleges, and universities, and hold a level 3 PTLLS teaching qualification.
With a BA, Masters, and PhD (in progress) in literature, I have a wealth of knowledge and skills to share, and can also help you with university, scholarship, funding, and job applications.
