About Disala

I teach because I am passionate about inspiring and empowering students to reach their full potential. Witnessing their growth and understanding in Science and Mathematics is incredibly rewarding. I believe in fostering a love for learning and helping students build confidence in their abilities.

About the lesson

Hello! I’m Disala, a dedicated and experienced tutor specializing in Science and Mathematics for students in Years 6 to 10, as well as VCE Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics and Biology. With over eight years of tutoring experience and a strong academic background, including a bachelor’s and a master’s degree, I am passionate about helping students achieve their academic goals.

With over 3,000 hours of tutoring experience, I have successfully taught students across Australia through both online and in-person lessons. I specialise in General Mathematics, Mathematical Methods, Specialist Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, and Biology for VCE and QCE students.

My experience spans one-to-one sessions and group classes, supporting a diverse range of learners — from selective school students and high achievers aiming for top ATARs to those looking to strengthen their understanding and confidence. I focus on building deep conceptual understanding, problem-solving ability, and effective exam techniques.

My lessons are interactive, structured, and tailored to each student’s learning style, combining clear explanations, real-world examples, and targeted practice. Whether online or face-to-face, I aim to create an engaging and supportive environment that helps students excel academically and develop a lifelong interest in learning.

Let’s embark on this educational journey together and unlock your full potential!

Her teaching style makes chemistry feel much less overwhelming, and she takes the time to ensure everything is understood before moving on. She is also friendly, encouraging, and always well-prepared for each lesson. I’ve really appreciated her support and would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a great chemistry tutor.

I recommend Disala as she puts all of her time and effort into helping her students achieve their goals. She explains concepts in a simple and understandable way while not making her students feel silly if they need extra time on certain topics. Disala is a great tutor and I feel anybody would benefit from having her as a tutor!
