About Ava
Hi! My name's Ava and I've been playing volleyball for 8 years! I started playing when I was 10 years old when I lived in Atlanta, GA. I played at an indoor club called A5 until I moved to playing beach full time when I was 15. I've been playing competitive beach volleyball for the last 3 years but have been coaching indoor during that time too!
I have been coaching indoor volleyball for the last 3 years, and I absolutely love being able to help grow the game! I was an assistant coach for a competitive 13's team this past season and head coached a Recreation League 9-11-year-old team for a short season as well.
I also would love to help tutor students in need of English help in the Santa Barbara area. I'm currently majoring in English at Santa Barbara City College and have been tutoring English there for the past year! I'm looking to get my degree so that I can become a high school English teacher after I graduate!
I'm available to anyone that wants to learn more about the game of volleyball and am willing to help with any particular need! Feel free to contact me to get started on lessons!
I love helping players become more confident in their game! Helping students with English is also a big passion of mine because I love the subject and love watching students grow in their academic abilities.
I have been coaching beach and indoor volleyball for the past 4 years and have been playing since I was 10 years old.
I am currently an English major at SBCC and have been tutoring English there for the past year.
