About Rony
With a robust academic background culminating in a Ph.D. in Marine Structures, a Master's Degree in the same field, and a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, I am confident that my research, analytical skills, and passion for marine engineering make me an ideal candidate.
In my recently completed Ph.D. thesis, titled "Dynamic Response Analysis of Offshore Floating Wind Turbine Combined with Wave Energy Converter," I conducted in-depth research into the dynamic behaviors of hybrid offshore structures, particularly focusing on the integration of TLP-type floating wind turbines with heaving point absorber wave energy converters. This research equipped me with a comprehensive understanding of the challenges and intricacies involved in offshore engineering, aligning well with the technical requirements.
My Master's Degree in Marine Structures further solidified my theoretical knowledge, providing me with a strong foundation in Engineering mechanics, Fluid mechanics, solid mechanics, wave hydrodynamics, Analysis and design of structures, dynamics of floating body, Numerical modelling of offshore structures, offshore renewable energy and offshore engineering principles. This academic journey, combined with my practical experience gained through internships and research projects, has honed my skills in structural response analysis, reliability analysis, and project management – all crucial aspects of the Researcher.

My approach to teaching is rooted in a combination of traditional pedagogy and modern instructional techniques designed to engage students at various levels of understanding.

I begin each class by providing an overview of the topic to be covered, its relevance, and learning objectives. I present key concepts using a combination of lectures, visual aids, and demonstrations. Dedicate a portion of each class to solving problems related to the topic, allowing students to apply theoretical knowledge to practical situations. Further, I facilitate interactive discussions, encourage student participation, and address questions or concerns to ensure comprehension. Finally I conclude each class with a summary of key points, a recap of the material covered, and preview upcoming topics.
My classes are primarily intended for college-level students pursuing degrees in Civil Engineering or related disciplines. However, I am also equipped to teach advanced topics to graduate students, provide professional development workshops for practicing engineers, or offer specialized training programs for industry professionals seeking to expand their knowledge and skills.
