About Melina

Hi! My name is Mel Rosenblum May, and I’m a high school junior at Fieldston who’s passionate about helping others learn. I’ve always enjoyed math, and I’ve learned that clear explanations and patience make all the difference when it comes to understanding new material. I’m currently taking poetry, French, Pre-calculus, and I have a strong foundation in math through Algebra and Geometry. I love working with students to help them feel confident in their abilities, whether that means preparing for a test, or simply learning how to approach problems more effectively. My goal is to make learning something that feels achievable and rewarding.

About the lesson

My goal is to make learning feel clear and help you build real confidence in your work and feel comfortable with the material. The best way to excel in any subject is to truly feel confident with your knowledge and be comfortable with the material. I know the feeling of studying hard, knowing the content, and then blanking on a test. That moment isn’t a reflection of your ability, but of confidence that hasn’t been fully built yet. Together, we’ll strengthen that confidence in a way that works for you, whether that means reviewing homework before submission, practicing problems step by step, or finding clearer ways to understand tricky concepts.
