About Jamie
I am a PhD student living in Sheffield, originally from Leeds.
I enjoy music and climbing as hobbies.
I always enjoy an interesting discussion with students about any curiousities and the importance of a good teacher is paramount to me. I had struggled with Maths when I was studying A-Level.
Until a new teacher changed my perspective, the work never really made sense. With this in mind, when teaching I always believe that there is a perspective which makes sense for everyone. And that learning should be exciting when moving towards understanding

In our lessons we will work together to highlight areas to work on, develop a learning plan that is both practical and enjoyable.
I emphasise using examples to motivate ideas, with the looks to gain a familiarity with problems that may arise in exams or elsewhere.
This is particularly the case with coding lessons, where we look to be as hands on as possible, encouraging interactive learning
My lessons vary from GCSE to undergraduate covering both Maths and Computer Science.
I have many hours of experience teaching a variety of university modules up to and including masters courses, alongside experience marking exams.
