About Lucy
My name is Lucy and I am currently a final year undergraduate studying Arabic at Durham University. For the past year, I have been living, working and studying in Oman and Jordan, experiencing the culture and of course solidifying my Arabic language skills.
This past year in the Middle East has ignited my passion for sharing this unique and beautiful language and I am keen to share my love for it with other eager students. I look forward to teaching you the basics of Arabic soon!

I take an integrated approach to language teaching, combining activities focusing on the four main competences - speaking, reading, writing and listening. Lessons will last one hour and will focus on the standard variety of Arabic, also known as FusHa with elements of Arabic dialect to make your speaking sound more natural.
I have tutored briefly in the past and, having lived in the Middle East for the past year, feel passionate about teaching and promoting the beautiful language of Arabic at the beginner to low-intermediate level. My lessons are suitable for any age but I am interested in teaching only the basics to students interested in the language.
