About Jalal
I have a double masters degree in Financial Engineering and Quantitative Finance and been working for the last 5 years as quantitative trader in a British hedge fund. I did my studies in France along with Classes Prepa PC* in pure mathematics and physics.
I've been giving private lessons since 2010 during my bachelors, both in maths and physics, for secondary school, highschool and university level.
I'm very familiar with school programs and exams preparation such as GRE/GMAT, brevet, baccalaureate/A-levels.
It's fulfilling for me to transmit knowledge and mentor students, follow their progress and also celebrate good grades with them!

Over these years of experience, the main thing that I see students lacking is rigour and also correct comprehension of the problem. First session is aimed to assess the student, determine his current level, goals and strengths/weaknesses.
After that, the lessons are structured as follows:
1. Scrupulously review difficult points of the course while reviewing the methodology and give him/her the tools in order to be more robust and better prepared for future lessons
2. Do or redo strategic exercices to put into practice the course and transmit subtle ways of solving exercices that I have learned since my student years. This is the most critical part.
3. In the end, we do a quick summary of the session and depending on the progress I might some exercice for the next session, to allow the student to review what we have seen together.
In case of difficulties, the student can email/call me so that I can help him.

I have been working on several projects at university with Jalal and it’s always a pleasure. He understands very quickly the problems and he can really explain complex concepts with simple words, always showing patience and rigorous ness.

Jalal tutored me when I was studying Engineering. The main thing I learned from him is a solid sense of rigour to tackle any exercice, especially those that seem complicated at first glance
