About Hannah
I am a private tutor, educational editor, content writer, and life-long student. I work hard to create informative, engaging, and useful classes tailored to help students reach their goals.
My background:
- First Class BA in Theology from Durham University (plus 3As at A-Level, plus 9A*s GCSE level if you want to start going back...)
- 3 years of private tutoring experience, amounting to over 400 hours, with students aged 3 - 13
- 2 years of classroom experience as an English Language Assistant, working with students aged 12-19
- Currently working as an educational editor working with scientific material from an English Second Language perspective (equivalent to KS3 and 4)

I love teaching, sharing knowledge, and helping students to gain confidence in their abilities. No one class or student is the same, and I always personalise classes.
I am a warm and affirming teacher and prefer to guide my students' learning process through a mixture of constructive criticism and well deserved praise. I base my classes in discussion, as I think this is the best use of time as a private tutor; I am happy to set and mark reading and writing heavy tasks for homework.

The majority of my teaching experience and current work is with children and young adults (ages 8-19). However, I love a challenge so do get in touch if you're an adult learner.
