Having recently graduated from University at an undergraduate level, I am very familiar with mark schemes and desired essay structures. Understanding what mark schemes are looking for and how strong essay structures can help achieve higher grades is a strong emphasis of mine, and will be a key learning aim of my tutoring. I would also emphasise helping students focus on their desired topics, allowing them to choose what they want to focus on and strengthen in their learning. It is very important to boost a student’s confidence in areas in which they might feel weaker or less confident.
