About Izzy
I am a First Class Honours graduate in English Language and Literature from the University of Oxford, with personal experience of the Oxbridge admissions process. Having successfully gained a place at Oxford, I understand the preparation, analytical skills and confidence required to succeed in competitive university applications. As someone who was once a shy and nervous student myself, I know how daunting interviews and assessments can feel - but I also know that with practice, preparation and encouragement, confidence can grow exponentially!
I am passionate about helping students develop the curiosity, independence and communication skills that universities look for. My own academic journey was shaped by teachers who encouraged me to explore ideas deeply, challenge interpretations and express my thoughts with confidence - an approach I hope to bring to every student I support.
Alongside my studies, I developed experience across theatre, writing, journalism, marketing and communications, strengthening my skills in critical analysis, persuasive writing and clear communication. These experiences allow me to support students not only with admissions preparation, but also with the wider academic skills needed to thrive at university and beyond!

I offer tailored support for students preparing for Oxbridge and university admissions, including written entrance examinations, interview preparation and application guidance.
Lessons can focus on:
• Written entrance examination preparation, including close reading, unseen texts, essay planning, argument development and analytical writing.
• Oxbridge interview preparation, including mock interview questions, tutorial-style discussions and practising how to communicate ideas clearly under pressure.
• University application support, including personal statements, exploring academic interests and preparing thoughtful responses to admissions questions.
• Developing the confidence to engage with challenging texts, defend interpretations and demonstrate intellectual curiosity.

Entrance examinations and interviews can feel unfamiliar and nerve-wracking, but preparation makes a significant difference. Through practice questions, mock interviews and detailed feedback, I will help you develop the confidence to communicate your ideas clearly and approach challenging questions with curiosity.

My aim is to help students approach admissions with confidence, enthusiasm and a genuine enjoyment of their subject.
