About Sadie
Hello! My name is Sadie Habas (she/her/hers). I am a pre-professional mezzo-soprano, earning a Master of Music in Vocal Performance at the UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music. I am interested in the intersection between classical voice and social justice, discovering how it can inspire change. I have a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Boston University, as well as a minor in Political Science, and my singing roots began when I sang in the San Francisco Girls Chorus from the ages of ten to eighteen. I hope to empower students to sing confidently and authentically about issues they care about.

As a voice teacher, I prioritize connection to body, breath awareness, and fun and play in order to develop an instrument that is most authentic to you.
In a typical lesson with Sadie, we would begin with body work, including stretching and mindfulness, and then do some warming up and vocalizing. Finally, we would end with repertoire. I always lead lessons based on students needs and how their body and voice are feeling that day.
As a tutor, I am empathetic, encouraging, and open to feedback. I will really tailor my teaching style to you and your needs.
I teach lessons to beginner and intermediate singers.
