About William
I am a first year Oxford historian. At A-Level I got 3 A*s in History (specifically Early Modern history), Philosophy, and Maths. At GSCE I got 10 A*s in History, Religious Studies, English Literature and Language, Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Drama, and German. I also spent two years working at a Youth Club for children aged 10-13.

The most inspiring teacher I ever had divided his lessons into periods focusing on exam technique and critical thinking. The first is not as difficult as students believe. It can be mastered by going through past papers and giving clear instructions. The second is fostered by debate and challenge and this is achieved by engaging on the same level with the student on interesting issues. Both are crucial for achieving good exam results and getting into universities like Oxbridge.
