About Megan
I bring my extensive classroom teaching experience of diverse nationalities in the Middle East, Southern Africa and the United Kingdom to my students. Coupled with my qualifications, which include a BA (English), a PGCE, an MA TESOL, and a CELTA, my period as an examiner of the Writing and Speaking tests equips me with excellent knowledge and a proven track record to underpin my tutoring and prepare IELTS candidates to take the test with confidence that they have the necessary skills and strategies to achieve their goals.

After consulting many books related to IELTS, I have developed a series of PowerPoint presentations that cover the rubrics used to assess the different parts of the IELTS test (the band descriptors), as well as additional presentations that explain the various question types within each section and the different skills and strategies required to address these particular question types. In this way, the information presented is consistent, and yet can be tailored to suit individual needs. In addition, by knowing what is being assessed in the Writing and Speaking sections, the candidate can aim at achieving the various bullet points that occur in each category of each band level.
