About Celina

Hello, I’m Celina, a former Japanese national team swimmer specializing in breaststroke. I have more than 20 years of swimming experience, competed at the Japan Championships and international competitions, and now continue my journey in the water as a competitive freediver and instructor.

Swimming has always been an important part of my life, and I enjoy helping others discover confidence and enjoyment in the water. I understand that learning to swim can sometimes feel challenging, especially when receiving instructions in a second language. That is why I offer friendly, patient and personalized lessons, primarily in Japanese.

Whether your goal is to overcome a fear of water, learn a new stroke, improve your technique or swim more efficiently, I will support you step by step at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

About the lesson

Each lesson begins with a short discussion about your current swimming ability, goals and any concerns you may have. I then create a personalised lesson plan focused on helping you feel more confident, comfortable and efficient in the water.

Lessons typically last 60 minutes and include clear demonstrations, technique drills, individual feedback and practical exercises suited to your level. Depending on your goals, we can work on water confidence, breathing, freestyle, breaststroke, backstroke, body position, kicking, stroke efficiency or swimming fitness.

I am a former Japanese national team swimmer specialising in breaststroke, with more than 20 years of swimming experience. I am also an active competitive freediver, SSI Freediving Instructor and Snorkel Instructor.

My lessons are suitable for adults and children, from complete beginners to experienced swimmers wanting to improve their technique or performance. Lessons are mainly provided in Japanese.
