About Elena
I taught English as a second language at an international school in Cambodia. Prior to that I was a journalist for a financial newspaper (The Edge) in Malaysia and also have a background in managerial positions. I have a degree in Psychology from UIU and a Masters in Special Needs Education from the University of Nottingham.

During my tenure with the school, I taught primary and kindergarten students. I also tutored secondary students and adults who wanted to speak better English. During class I prefer to engage the students into little discussions, therefore giving them an opportunity to speak and learn to express themselves comfortably using the language. Exercises are a must as I do believe that practice makes perfect. My teaching methods also depends on the student's learning ability as not all students are the same. I also like to do fun activities together so that learning English will not be boring for the students.
