About Chad
I was formally trained as an artist and writer at the University of the Witwatersrand. From 2012-2021 I worked as a collaborative and editioning printmaker at David Krut Projects (Johannesburg, South Africa), and at Africa Print House (Abidjan, Cote d'Ivoire) from 2021-2022. I taught drawing and printmaking at Wits University from 2019-2020, and co-founded Danger Gevaar Ingozi, a printmaking studio based in Johannesburg, in 2016.

My teaching methodology combines the theoretical, historical and technical aspects within the field of Visual Arts in an attempt to introduce my students to the multiplicity of potential long term employment within the arts both locally and globally.
My potential students can expect tutoring in the fields of technical proficiency in printmaking, bookmaking, drawing, collage, installation and sculpture - as well as in the fields of Arts writing, research, terminology and professional practice. My focus on developing each of these different aspects with my potential students will depend on their desired outcomes for the lessons.
Although I teach exclusively in English, my competence as an English speaker and writer allows for students to develop a more refined arts vocabulary both in spoken and written form.
