About Andrea
I started my chess journey when I was in grade 3. I have loved chess ever since. I played chess throughout school. When I was in grade 7 I made Durban and District, I then went on to play for the KZN C team in my age category. Unfortunately, I was only able to take part for two years due to personal reasons. However, I never stopped playing chess. I continued to play for my school team until I matriculated. I now coach chess at a school level focusing on foundation phase. Chess has always been a passion and a big part of my life. I want to share the skills, knowledge, and excitement for this extraordinary sport.

Chess is a beneficial game with long term advantages. I aim to guide students to expand on their knowledge and strategic thinking. I welcome all learners from beginner to intermediate. We will explore the fundamentals of chess and expand on existing knowledge and skills. My goal is to ensure lessons are fun, engaging and interactive.
